    Virtual Materials Group Europe S.L. (VMGE) is the European Branch of Virtual Materials Group Inc. Our goals are:

    • To focus on the core, process simulation

    The executive team has extensive experience in the industry. They aim to make Virtual Materials Group Europe a company which delivers customer driven software and effective consulting solutions.

    Michele Manzulli


    Managing Director and co-founder

    Michele brings 15+ years of experience in the process hydrocarbon industry. Michele graduated with a M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

    Michele started his career in Praxair Inc. as a process engineer and then he worked for several years as a process design engineer in Foster Wheeler Europe, where he designed the operation of several refinery units. Michele joined Hyprotech in 2001 where he has worked as a technical consultant Engineer. After the acquisition of Hyprotech by Aspen Technology in 2002 Michele has transitioned into HYSYS Business development and Project Technical leadership where he has worked for over 10 years and has gained significant experience in various roles. His main focus in Aspen Technology was designing and executing services solutions to bring value to the hydrocarbon industry through simulation modeling.

    Nicolau Goula i Masllorens


    Technical Services Manager at Virtual Materials Group Europe

    Nicolau brings 10+ years of experience in Process Engineering from both industrial plants and research centres. Nicolau graduated as a Chemical Engineer at Universitat de Barcelona and has a MSc in Process Systems Engineering from Imperial College.

    Nicolau started his career as an interim at Air Products while he was a student. After he got his MSc, he worked for 5 years at Catalonian Research and Innovation Centre managing projects for various industries (polymers, chemicals, industrial gases, etc). In 2007 he joined CELSA Group to work as a Process Engineer in the metallurgical industry, developing simulation models for direct Operations decisions and for Process improvement. He also collaborated in the development of the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), bringing the power of optimisation techniques to daily use at plant level.
